Interior Makeovers is a decorating firm which provides unique
and diversified interior decorating services.
Interior
Makeovers mission is to provide quick, inexpensive, and personal
interior decorating. We strive to decorate your home by getting
to know you and your style, appreciate the depth of your budget,
and most importantly respect the importance of your cherished
belongings.
Interior Makeovers was founded
in 2001 by Cindy Langer. My dream for my decorating business
was to offer down to earth and economical interior decorating
which can be used by the average homeowner, whether you live
in an apartment, a mansion or anything in between. No job
is too small or too large! My training took place in Annapolis
Maryland with the Interior Arrangement and Design Association.
There I learned from a dynamic group of decorators the art
of decorating as well as the dynamics of running my own business.
From then, I began to build the foundation for Interior Makeovers,
starting with one day decorating
and then evolving into full scale decorating out of requests
from my clients and their referrals.
Interior
Makeovers services include: Room Design and Decorating, One
day Decorating, Color Consultations, Real Estate Staging and
Evaluations, Holiday and Event Decorating, Shopping Services,
after Moving Day Decorating, Party makeovers, and Speaking
Engagements.
Room
Design and Decorating:
We meet in your home to get a feel for the space, determine
your decorating style, discuss the function of the room, take
some measurements, and then map out the best furniture arrangement.
In most cases, I will create a drawing of your room(s) for
you to use as a reference when shopping,
specifying all aspects of the room from the furniture, floor
rugs to the lighting
Fabric
Selection:
I can help you choose the most dynamic fabric combinations,
which will work with your existing furniture and coordinate
with your home. Interior Makeovers has access to top designer
fabrics and can locate hard to find fabrics at much lower
prices than typical stores.
 Window
Treatments:
From custom to off the shelf, I can help you choose the best
window treatments for your windows. nterior Makeovers can
help you find the best place to buy your off the shelf window
treatments or provide an expert seamstress to customize our
design.
Shopping
Services:
I will shop for the items you need for your home. Although,
I find that it is more economical and time efficient for us
to shop together, giving you the advantage of having a second
set of eyes with you, and giving me the advantage of knowing
if you like what you see. I can direct you towards the stores
which will best suit your particular room for the best price,
and I have access to Interior Decorators’ showrooms
which offer a wide variety of exclusive decorators’
fabrics and furnishings at industry pricing – a savings
I pass along to my clients.
  One
Day Decorating:
If you really like your furniture or not ready to invest in
all new, but you are tired of the way your home looks, and
then you may want to consider One Day Decorating. I completely
redecorate and redesign your room or rooms in you home by
rearranging your existing furniture, artwork, lighting and
accessories. I also “shop the house: to discover hidden
treasures, once forgotten, or misplaced, to help complete
your room. Room Redesigning or Redecorating is fast becoming
all the rage on those popular home improvement shows. “This
was just like on TV” is a common expression after having
me over for a One Day Room Makeover.
Accessory
and Artwork Placement:
I often work with homeowners who would like help placing artwork
and/or accessories. Many of my clients have purchased or acquired
items that they have had for years and never put up for fear
of making a mistake and then putting too many holes in the
walls. As part of my One Day Decorating service, I can come
over simply to hang artwork, or even accessorize your china
cabinet or book shelves.
 Color
Consultations:
I can help you with your toughest decorating decision! Many
of my clients call me when they are getting ready to paint,
and are stressed about what color would be best. I bring to
your home some of the top paint vendors, including Benjamin
Moore, Sherwin Williams, Glidden, Behr, Martha Stewart, Ralph
Lauren, and Laura Ashley. Additionally, I can show you color
swatches that are much larger than the typical home improvement
or hardware store color card, making it much easier for you
to see the actual color.
 Real
Estate Staging:
When you are trying to sell your home your goals are to sell
fast and make the most you can from your investment. My goals
are to decorate your home to make it appealing to a broader
group of buyers; by placing your furnishings in such a way
that will highlight the home’s positive features and
make the home appear larger. I also evaluate your home and
provide a detailed list of recommended cosmetic repairs, suggested
curb-appeal enhancements, or any other ideas which would help
your home appear in its best possible condition.
After Moving Day Decorating:
One of the worst things about moving is facing the cluttered
mess of furniture and boxes that is placed in the middle of
every room after moving day. Interior Makeovers can save the
day! We will help place the furniture, artwork, lighting and
accessories to completely decorate your home and make it livable
and ready to entertain, all in one day!
 Holiday
and Event Decorating:
Interior Makeovers can assist you in determining a great floor
plan and then decorating your home to reflect the spirit of
the party. Having a decorator help you is a great idea for
the holidays when time is limited and precious, and the stress
levels are high! Let me do the design and decorating, purchasing
all the necessary items or coming up with a new arrangement
of your own decorations.
Party Makeovers:
Like a Tupperware party but with a twist! The idea is for
you to share in your One Day Decorating experience with friends
and family. You can invite your friends/family over for coffee
and danish in the morning to preview the “before”
room, go out for shopping and/or a matinee, and then return
home that afternoon to see your new “after” room!
A special bonus of the party makeover is that if one of your
guest schedules a Makeover you and that guest will each be
given a discount!
Speaking Engagements:
Interior Makeover has presented lectures to community libraries,
schools and Real Estate Agencies and Real Estate clubs on
decorating and real estate staging. Please call if you have
a group that would like their own personal lecture.
Interior Makeovers provides decorating to the Farmington
Valley and beyond!
We have decorated homes in
